Mon, 13 May 2024 09:22:05 -0700WeeblyThu, 28 Jan 2021 13:45:30 GMThttp://wendytillett.com/blog/featured-artist-ops-oceanic-preservation-society.So.  I have had a website for a few years now.  My amazing friend and business partner Sharon created it for me.  The “blog” portion of this website has remained silent the whole entire time.  Am I a blogger…do I blog??  I know I can draw and put colours on a canvas and call it a painting…a piece of art….but what do I have to say about it?  We are now juuust about one year into a pandemic..this thing they call The COVID.  I guess technically I should have been blogging all the way through it.  I mean its not over yet but there is hope and a light in the end of some tunnel…
I guess I could blog a little.

At the beginning of November 2020, I was honoured to have been chosen as The OPS (Oceanic Preservation Society) Featured Artist.  It is a program that partners up with a different artist several times a year.  They will showcase and promote the featured artist and their artworks on their website and social media platforms.  These ocean & wildlife inspired prints are being sold through Dung Beetle Design with also a different featured product(s) each month. A portion of our sales will be donated to OPS.  You should definitely check it out It!   It is super cool and I am so happy to be part of this.  We are a perfect match.  We are called artivists.  I am an #Artist.  

February is almost here….second month into 2021.  How is everyone feeling?  I guess that is a question with many layers.  We need to breathe.  We really need to breathe…and often.  Be outside.  Be outside every day…even if it is just for 5 minutes.  I am a known optimist (this can be tiresome for those who are not) but I truly believe that positive vibes are a thing…so bring ‘em on people…let them be bright:). This panfuckingdemic is still here but it is about to be old news.  2021.... Let the sunshine in.
